Why not checking with your local AD. But there are also some Patek you can get on the grey market for a reasonable price...

My point was for example buying a large value item from a grey dealer I do not know say on chrono24 is that part that would worry me a bit

Some are better than others. If you find one which is of interest for you, let me know. I may know him.
