Patek Philippe

This new pilot Watch is imo a great new piece. Blue dial and a 42mm case ... Some people are imo way to consevative ... Why hate new stuff? I really like the fact that Patek dares to make a totally different watch, this new style is somethig I was waiting...

movement into a pilot watch would be an even bolder move, however, given the price point of split second movement, (assuming perhaps 5370P price minus 10-20%?) I'm not very convinced that the target audience at that price point would want pilot watch styl... 

Patek has not a real tradition in pilot watches or let us say not a long tradition but maybe it starts here? In steel or any other non precious material it would have been "too cheap" looking for a Patek and hence in WG, I suppose. Best Moritz

about 5524A (5524 in SS) being too cheap as the complication has already been executed in Aquanaut case ref: 5064A at a lower price point. So let's say for argument sake that they DO come out w/ 5524A at similar price point as to 5064A, it would still be ... 

At first glance it seems to make sense to use this complication in a pilot's watch but historically not, I suppose. These type of watches were war utensils back in the days in order to determine targets on ground during flight. For this reason pilot watch...

It looks too much like a Zenith Pilot GMT. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. But the resemblance is striking ! Don't anybody feel that way ? Wearing a PP looking with a Zenith DNA . Hopefully someone who has both , take a photo of the 2 watches side b... 

I actually agree with you. A bold move, yes for sure. But why not try something new? It's not like they are making this model their bread and butter. The pushers looks a bit too large for my taste, but still an interesting move.

I was referring to the 5524. Are you referring to this reference ? I am neutral as to whether it is a good move to have this PP release. Only highlighting the resemblance it has to the Zenith Pilot GMT. As to whether it would be well received/success, onl... 

I assumed with the 7% price decrease and steeper AD discounts, Patek would be very reserved this year. try and solidify their base of clients and really push what they are known for despite the pricing and competition issues. some new models, but nothing ... 

It's not a Patek Philippe. There is nothing, in that trendy casual watch of a vague military inspiration, which belongs to the long Patek tradition. Nor the aestethic, neither from a technical point of view. Without the brand on the dial you could confuse...  

I want to see the dial which is not black but deeply blue I Am very surprise and destabilize by this watch and as all of you I don't like that But remember reactions when they produced The Nautilus at the beginning...

Ugly and totally different - probably no one would even trade the strap for that one. If you haven't seen the watch you can't really judge it.

Truth in the fact nobody would trade a strap for that TCM. Which, as your usual, completely misses the point. Keep on trying... :-) Regards

why all those "it looks like .... an X or a Z" ??, basically every pilot watch looks like an other pilot watch and let's not forget that they were all made to some specifactions set by the Air forces, so why all the fuzz ?? I agree that it would have been... 

We could call it in many ways, a stowa, an iwc or in any dozens other ways. We could call whatever the name is, everything but Patek :-) Regards

The easiest way to show a new watch, but how many would buy it without that name on the dial? A titanium case would have been a better choice, as well as a 45 mm case and a manual movement.... But i'm not working in PP :-D

I fully agree. PP should be more daring. One idea could be following the Breitling and Audemars examples. Why not a co-branding strategy, since Bentley is already taken why not another brand which is on its way up like Patek, say...Lexus? "Patek for Lexus... 

Am I getting close to this one, I don't want people to think I am wearing a badly faked Patek.
