I know it's tough,

I have a hard enough time picking out a watch I want to wear each day and by the looks of your watches, I'd never get out of the house. But if I could only have one that had to meet the criteria, I think it would be a Rolex of some type. I have a Patek bracelet watch from the '80's with a link style bracelet which has served me well for 25 years with absolutely no problems, a manual wind Blancpain chrono for 15 years, IWC Mark XII for 15 years, several Rolexes for 5-10 years.. all with no problems. But, several other more complicated pieces which have had some issues, but nothing major.

I received a book several years ago, "Collecting, an unruly passion"....I read the first 2 pages, had me pegged spot on and decided not to read any more.

I hope I'm never in a position to have to get to just one watch because I like them all.
