I have had one for several years and it is a gem of a watch - reliable, fun (case back, movement, etc) and perfect for day-to-day activities as well as formal occasions. It's a bit of an underground watch as it's fairly rare in my experience to come across one. Good luck in your search.
If 5053 were still available today...
in exactly the same size, would anyone jump right onto it? And If you currently own it, do you still wear it often or find it superseded by your other bigger sized watches? I'm considering looking for one, but pondering over the size by today's standard.....

The officer's case, size, numeral style, hands, etc. The total package makes for a great watch! tempusfugit...
