I want to say about 1999-2001. More sure of the start date than the cessation
In any case, the 5091 and its derivatives were part of a run of about 2-3,000 watches in total. I'm pretty sure that any individual variant would have been produced in no more than a few hundred pieces. Caliber 315 SC, I believe. It was reported long ago that the 5091 and its variants were a custom-run for a Patek Philippe distributor in Russia during the late nineties.

Spot on . More like 1998 !
9 variants were made in steel and steel gold variations and total 2700 pcs produced with 300 in each variation. I inherited it from my father but does not get wrist time at all as Iam not a fan of bi color straps

No offense and I appreciate your family connection to this watch but imho this is not something I would risk be caught wearing.
A to-be-acquired taste
Like to many Pateks. I would not wear it, but it is certainly not uglier than many others. Some tonneau shapes, the many Pateks with the Timex-like date windows etc. If you look at it from a Cartier Pasha/Roadster perspective, then it looks almost ok.
