If you want a Patek Calatrava, then I think you should go for the 5196p for starters. And if you intend to only have 1 Patek watch. 😎
But if you want to add 2 3 pcs. then a self winding is good and for complicated model go for a world time as it is most useful complication. My opinion.

I would like to disagree. He had a very constructive argument.
And furthermore in that particular context a very got point i would say! A very theoretical argument that was discussed there indeed.
No offense but pointing out that there is more important stuff than the first world problems discussed in many threads on watch forums is stating the obvious ...
... and makes it no less weird to vent ones anger about a forum in one thread and minutes later opening another thread on that very forum to ask for advice.
Its not about the fact that owning a PP is a first world thing
But saying that the AC is the stuff for the people on the street - that is a bit decadent since most ACs from PP are 45k or so.
Sure, I am not defending the "issue" raised in the other thread...
... and personally prefer a simple Calatrava over most if not all ACs.
The 5035 has a special place in Pateks history. I personally want a moonphase in my AC.
