Patek Philippe

Was pleased to get to see the new patek Philippe 5170G white dial exhibition collection today. I find the yellow gold bit uninspiring, was more fond of the wihte gold with light dial, but this one is clearly my favorite. Would have loved it even more with...  

The contrasts makes the watch really macho & handsome. Black dial and white gold case. Sublime. Consider the watch , go for it. Cheers. Geross

One of my all time favorites,

but not handled and tried it yet. It looks of course nicer in the metal than in the pictures we've seen since it was unveiled. I'll write something soon about the 5170G and give also my thoughts about this one. Thanks for sharing your experience Dave! Che... 

I prefer the white dial in this reference. The white numbering on black is a little too much contrast for me plus I like the added info of the pulse meter,

I'm waiting to be able to hold one and try it, it is the only way to judge but I also liked the Pulsometric scale and I usually find the white writings/printings are a bit too contrasted on a black dial. In the mean time I saw the 5370P and it looked perf... 

My 5153g shows the nice detail in the white dials. Could not seem to upload my 5170g at the moment. ...

That I'll keep on my computer for my pleasure. I would really go on for a 5170 or maybe if I can a 5270 but this white dial version is fantastic. Time will tell :) Thanks! Cheers, Mark

I saw it this week and it really looks great. I don't know which one I prefere between the G 3rd gen or the R... I'll have to try them first.

The white dial is still my preference on 5170 so far. The pulsations scale is so cool.

The White dial 5170g never seems to get much recognition, it always seems to be seen as the inferior little brother to the 5070. I think it's a great looking watch, my only reservation are the hands they could be a little more interesting but I prefer the... 

As I said earlier, I love the pulsometric scale and the silver dial with its very nice and thin printings. The black dial has a more modern look, very nice combination of shiny elements and the matte dial. This gives the watch a nice touch of modernism bu... 

The silver dial is more classical but the markings are much thinner than on the new black dial and I like that. Furthermore, the pulsometric scale is a detail I like a lot.
