Keeping it simple in 2013
Greetings to all!
I haven't posted for quite a while, but continue to keep track of the happenings on this great site. I thought I'd use some holiday free time to share my two aquisitions for 2012. I have to admit I'm getting somewhat fatigued by the incessant price increases in the industry, and particularly with Patek. Perhaps that is why my eyes and heart were drawn to beauty in its ultimate simplicity this year...

You have picked up my 2 favourites Calatravas. I love the rounded crown guard of the 5127, very similar to the one of the 5125. Also the rose gold is for sure a good choice (although I also love the platinum version with black dial as a very elegant dress...

2526 is such an icon and classic, 5127 is no where near the Calatrava King in term of style and charm :-) If one is to compare these two watches, I think there's totally zero comparison. Both are beautiful but they are no where near the same class imho. F...
