These days, they are 2 of the only companies making their movement, case and bracelet (both buy straps and glass), and both save tools.

To each his own. Maybe OP should post that are his feelings. I am not a huge fan of either one. I personally think there are much better looking Patek out there. The new 5172 or 5740 are up there, but those are just my feelings.
Both are beautiful...... both are amazing.......
The 5131 is far too much $$$$$$$$$ for me!!!! I personally prefer the 5110 with the hints to the 2523 5110 - best dial, best hands 5130 - best size
The grand date is fantastic .
Especially with a JLC stainless steel bracelet for the summer and a casa Fagliano watch strap for winter.

Although, in my opinion, the 5110J is more elegant, by being more monochromatic...PT is extravagant always.....
I guess I have simple tastes
... but your 5127, 5196, and 5296 would get more wrist time for me. Sometimes less is more.
