My first post on this site was in 2015. This time, my wish came true and I was able to become a member of the 1K Club. In commemoration of joining the club, I tried to reproduce the letters "1000" with Golden Ellipse 5738 & 3 3738s.
Ellipse in recent years has a flat back, so we can clearly see the difference in PP materials (P/G/J/R) ...

Is is fair to presume that: 1) both of these references have a *two part* case contruction where the upper section contains the integrated bezel and crystal. 2) the lugs that hold the strap are actually a part of (i.e they are welded) to the lower portion...
