Many thanks for the useful reminder Mark...
Moreover the discussion about the 5712 is very appropriate as I did not remember these important details...
Because it has got a full service and just came back from the spa few weeks ago I shall bring it with me but shall definitely avoid swimming with it... One small detail I would add to your comments concers vintage watches even if diving ones including Rolex : clear no go for swimming diving ever for all 5513 / 1680 / 1665... whatever the service history : even if the case is checked and waterproof, water can also get in through the plexi without you knowing. If you are the lucky owner of a vintage Sub or SD do not take the risk to ruin the dial and hands with oxydation if water/humidity gets in, for a beautiful vintage dial with a nice even patina makes the whole charm of the watch and cannot be replaced but with a new one (thus devastating the value of it ).
My 2 cents
Mike
