But even considering this, there's too much contradiction in there for my taste.
I hate those price discussions - and past messages from you made me feel you don't love them as well - so why?
Even reading your post several times I can't follow.... seriously, you don't try to make a point of this single example, don't you?
I'm sure nobody would do so, except if this specific example just comes handy as explanation for whatever point one wants to make.

and I have no problem if value discussions like this are deleted. But I know of "gray market" dealers offering $120K for a pre-owned 5970G. And I assume they don't plan to lose money when they resell. When this one is discontinued, look out......
