I guess the names "porcelaine" or "lacquered" where used to describe the result and not the process, if you follow me, so the use may have changed in time depending on who directed the catalog.

Good Fathers' Day to all fathers, When the Certificate of Origin is stating: "FOND BLANC PORCELAINE", what is the material the dial is made of? I'm speaking about two references: 3520/D and 4809. I thank you in advance. Best, Kari

I have an opportunity to acquire both a 4809 and 3520D. In both cases the Certificate of Origin is saying Fond Blanc Porcelaine. I guess the matter is clear. Thank you again! Best, Kari
