Nice to see another 3448 here, there are not many…
I suppose you know my love for this reference, surely one of my favorite PP. I have waited twenty years before getting mine and I had to sacrifice several watches of my collection so as to fund its acquisition but I am so happy I did it.
Yours is a late generation as you mentioned (just before the launch of 3450), mine on the contrary is a early generation (enamel dial and PP crown) and says hi to you !

Thank your for your kind appraisal. The dial is not enamel. Wish it were. I have seen only one enamel dial 3448 or 3450 (don’t remember which).Was at an auction viewing.
Don’t know if it was born that way or not. But the moonphase is a different matter. It is my understanding that 3448s came with enamel moonphase and mine certainly appears to be. Thanks for asking, led me to take a closer look.

Mike, thank you for your reply and for sharing images of your very special and beautiful watch. I feel that the early version like yours is in different category than my late version.
