Patek Philippe

I recently purchased a Patek Philippe 5135G after aspiring to own a Patek for many years. I am thrilled with this piece and intend to pass it on to my son as a family heirloom. Presently I keep the watch on a winder because of the annual calendar function... 

This question will undoubtedly bring up many contrary responses from the winder vs no winder camp and both parties have good arguments. I was always of the no-winder camp until very recently when I had my thrid automatic movement fail due to excessive man... 

When I started to wear another piece on a daily base, I too wonder what to do with my 5205G. Should I keep it on a winder, so that everything is working & set correctly or just wear/wind it from time to time to make sure that the oil is circulates aro... 

Why don't you simply contact Patek Salon and pass the question to one of their watchmakers. At least there must be a reason why the perpetuals are delivered with a winder. Best, Kari
