I left it today at a Patek Philippe dealer who helped me very much as he managed to see the serial No. with his magnifying glass and also helped me a lot with the documentation procedure. He will also service it, as it has never been serviced before and in a few days time I shall be able to post some pictures that you might find interesting, keep in mind though that this is a very old chronograph (dated between 1900 - 1930) and perhaps you wouldn't be interested in looking at such an old watch. But if you are, kindly let me know and I will post or send you some pictures.

I can't read the case number of my Patek Philippe back cover as it is worn out completely, just the reference number. I can clearly see the mouvenent number and reference number inside the watch, but I can not receive an extract from the archives from Pat...

If you have no papers you will not be able to find out the matching number. Only Patek knows but they will not disclose it. It is very unusual that a case number is so badly worn that you can´t read it any more as it is inside the case back... So I suppos...

Hi there, and thank you for your reply. I was so frustrated by this situation that I took this watch to a Patek Philippe dealer and I found out that the serial No. was not visible to the naked eye (or my eye), they were very helpfull, they saw the number ...
