The new reference 5980/60g replaced all other 5980 references. It features a slimmer bezel akin to the ref. 5990 giving a larger dial opening. The dial font is based on the 40th anniversary models. The diameter is 40.5mm with a thickness of 12.2mm. It comes with a choice of two straps one in a blue-grey calf with a denim look and also a blue grey composite. The dial is a opaline blue grey with the traditional horizontal ribbed style.

How does the dial look on the metal vs 40th anniversary? I like the composite strap more because it matches the dial well, whereas the denim strap gives it a casual look 👀!

That dial color is fantastic! I’m very happy that you can select another strap than the denim monstrosity.
I really love this without the jeans strap.
At least in photos I’m not impressed with the jeans tuxedo strap. But the alternative strap looks amazing. I do like the dial color too.
