People were definitely in the buying mood
Most lots went in the mid to upper end of estimate, with many going beyond high estimate. I've haven't seen such enthusiasm in the last couple of years.
And several of the enamel, pearl set pocket watches went far beyond the estimates (3 to 5x beyond high estimate).
The two centerpiece watches (Clapton's 2499 and Chronometer 2458) weren't too exciting, bidding wise. They quickly went up to their market values without much back and forth bidding.
