I noticed that as well, but I honestly have never worn it long enough to get it going without winding it as it is too small for my wrist
It is a beautiful watch!

You can either open the watch to check its movement number and case number and thus request an extract from the Patek Philippe archives or (which is probably better) take it to a PP salon and send it for a service (which I am guessing has not received one...

The ref 3842 is a manual wind with the ultra thin movement. However I do not see a model with a date aperture. Your post on another forum suggested other outcomes for your watch. Why don't you take it to a watchmaker who will open the case and look at the...
