Hi,
due to the gear train layout (setting wheels under dial) this should be normal with this caliber , IIRC.
I.e. turning the crown/stem cw results in ccw movement of hands.
But perhaps an actual owner can confirm this.

Does anyone know if on the 5056 when you turn the crown clockwise do the minutes and hours turn anti-clockwise? Have been offered one to buy which looks the part on many fronts but wanted to make sure that made sense to anyone as i found that very odd. th...

Yes, that is correct.
At least that's the way mine works. Turn the crown clockwise and the hands move counterclockwise.
