Well, firstly, thanks for the reply. I am as puzzled as I imagine anyone would be
Lets go by parts.
I believe that something is wrong with this watch - the lugs aren't
correct - both in style and execution. Even on pictures it's
easy to see that execution is way below the standards and also completely different from the rest of the case work.
Since I couldn't find any reference watches in catalogs or elsewhere this is hard for me to attest. I imagine some work may have been done in the past to the lugs (strap pins, male style particularly) but since the lugs are very well installed, I can't imagine them being not original, of course, i can't attest to this.
I've a question re. the extract - the one shown in the pciture
obviously isn't the original - it looks more like a telefax or
copy....??
Its a fax since it was received at my home in New Hampshire and i'm currently in brazil.
The next thing would be the extract details - wristwatch, half open
(which would indicate a half-hunter) - that's at leats puzzling and
doesn't match the watch in the pictures.
Wristwatch - Check
Half Open - Half check. Since it was a wrist watch, i cant imagine it had a hunter style lid on it. The bezel seems apropriate since it covers a good portion of the dial underneath the gold, but still exibits the numerals and hands. I Imagine this may be a terminology discrepancy, perhaps a 3/4 open face would be more apropriate.
Just like your coments should be taken as a grain of salt, mine should be as well hehe.
This is a tough one.
Thanks!
