Patek Philippe

Thank you for the great report...and comments on stainless steel.

The way you describe how difficult it is to polish ss bracelets (and cases too), one realy wonders about the use of white gold.

Is it possible that the manufacturers are deliberately using easy to process wg as opposed to ss to cut down manufacting and service costs, but claim otherwise ? Of course they charge the cost of the gold, but that is given.

Also since white gold is very easily scracthed, customers frequently send them back for polishing and/or laser welding (obviously an easier job than ss). So using wg is a win-win-win situation to watch manufacturers from start to finish.

Thanks again and cheers.
