Patek Philippe

That's indeed all the difficulty in assessing Tom

I think that, like in finishing, the level obtained depends on the shape, pattern and especially the size of the drawing. The smaller it is, with many details, with more parts, delimited with the gold wires ("cloisonné" technique) compared to champlevé etc... they are all making them more or less difficult to craft.

The loupe exploration may not be the only criterion to take into account.

Aside of this, I guess that unique pieces made in a very few number is something brand take a lot of time and maybe attention to (especially when they know it will be covered by journalists or pro photographers for the official campaign). On the other hand, some other tiny dials like the 5131s are quite difficult to make and at another volume, though still very low.

If you have a look at a 5370P dial for instance, they are flawless as shiny black shows every potential imperfections.

Thanks for your feedback on this Tom, VC makes for sure very nice enamel pieces too smile

Best, Mark
