I have 3712, 5711 and 5980 - all with steel bracelets and blue dials. Which one is my favourite? Honestly, I do not know. They all have their different charm. I guess better to have all three. Best, Kari

I have the 5711/1a and 5980/1A. The 5980 gets the most wristime of all my watches. The 5711 gets hardly any at all. I do like to look at it though. Kind of like the woman you marry vs. the woman you date. hahaha.

It was not spur of the moment thing. It was a long time desire. Just never felt to be a PP man. But it was sporty and many of the collectors I admire find it has a place in a collection. Bill

So I guess the misnomer is gray. I see the Blue as blue gray.
Black is clearly black so my guess is people sometimes call the Blue as Gray. Thanks Bill

The 5980 is the largest. But, they are very nice complements. Having the 5712 in a third metal and dial makes a nice trio. I came close, but passed Best Joe
