I've been collecting enamel timepiece for quite some time, in the pocket watch era we can see a lot of the enamel has artist's signature on it, but when it comes to wrist watch, we rarely seen the artist signature or initial on the dial. This 175th annine...  

Enamel dial watch is one of my favorite theme. PP has a wide range and the one you’ve shown is one of the loveliest. AP is indeed a brilliant enamel artist. Thanks for showing.

I am thinking of having af custom dial made sometime in the next year or so. I really admire the craft of the artists making these. Including of course Anita ;-)

You know what my favorite watch of your collection is, since you’re the only other person on Earth that I know of who owns the Boccadasse 5177G-010!! But this 5089G is truly up there as well...in my modest opinion, all of these rare handcraft references, ... 

I guess that's why the artist's signature was also marked on dial. Congrats and wear it in the best of health!. Best, Henry

A reason why no more than a handful are ever made for each dial (in this case, only one!). Every time I see one I’m honestly in admiration of the unmatched combination of horology and art!😉🥂

if you use a good loupe to look into the enamel of 5131 or 5231, you will see some little bubbles... This won't happen in the traditional mineral or glass enamel. But since the last enamel material mining factory in Geneva closed in the late 70's, most of...  

Thanks for sharing! There's also a trio of sailboat themed wood marquetry dials too. Also very beautiful. Thank you for showing us your beautiful piece. I really like how they did the sky, the graduation of the sky is done beautifully.

Here is a link to my original post about the Rousseau lion 🦁 if you have not seen it previously. FYI, There was a piece (bird from “The Dream”, same painting as the lion) from the Rousseau collection that was auctioned off in Hong Kong by Philips in 2019...
