My first was a 5124J, but it had to be let go when it just never made wrist time and had a tough time competing against the others in the collection. But you’re right, you never forget your first!

These “old timers” are elegant for sure. Something I think many others out there should pay attention to. I guess it is in our advantage, as these can be had at a more reasonable price than the steel models.

Very nice sample you have. The sub seconds stand out, and in my view that’s because Patek removed the minute track on the outer dial so as to keep it clean.

this month is the 48th birthday of my 3520D. Purchased in Nice three blocks from the Negresco. Manual wind. No seconds, no date, 33mm. My thinnest watch. The hobnail bezel and the white enamel, black Roman numerals are special. Enjoy it......
