I "nearly" bought it but then I got my small doubts: "a sporting watch made of such a soft material". And the price... However, the weight felt good even I was surprised that it was not heavier. The dial: simply fantastic! Enjoy yours. Best, Kari

I really hope that some purist friends will have the opportunity to buy such beauty. but I don't think that the price list for 5711P will change anything in matter of availability. If I do not make mistake, I saw on the price list the 5131J is still there... 

Ch9698...how do you prevent the scratches on the polished areas of the bracelet? Platinum is certainly is a "softer" metal than SS and will definitely produce scratches even when worn daily. This is a big drawback of owning such a rarity...

but I don't care Watch must live and I will send it for laser and polishing ...

This "unicorn" is avail for sale at a dealer?? I wonder who ordered it and decided not to buy. Usually pieces like this is on special order and not delivered unless dealer has a buyer. Not sure why the dealer would order from Patek and have this in their ... 

this is a picture that I saw a few times on instagram the last days I have no idea who took the picture nor who the owner of these is But ALL 4 of these are platinum but for some just platinum is not enough so they want emeralds, sapphires, rubies and dia...

A few months ago I made an attempt to acquire the 5711P, nothing was promised but I have hopes it might come one day the feel and look of a full platinum watch and bracelet is very special, difficult to catch in pictures, I own a Rolex DayDate II in this ...

Based on previous release patterns at Patek...usually a reference is "retired" after they release platinum models. There is a very good chance this will be the last year for ordering Ref 5711 and next year there will be a new Nautilus to take it's place. ... 

...and the ones unveiled concerning other references: this one was not really planed and seemed to be a very limited production to please some customers (already available since at least 1 or 2 years btw). The other references, when they pop at the end of...
