What do you think the reason is for focusing on a limited market like pocket watches versus calatrava wrist watch marquetry.

I was hoping for a few more marquetry pieces but seems only one wrist watch is their capacity.....oh well at least

Wood marquetry production is always very limited since there’s only one artist (J.B.) in charge of these creations at Patek...Definitely not a humiliation in the event you get rejected (and chances are you will not)!😉🥂

I assume a reason is a pocket watch leaves more room to creativity, so it will always be in production for these crafts (or so I hope)...obviously more of a niche market though, and it’s possible a few more wristwatches are produced than pocket watches😉

I saw a sketch of a guilloche dial which I now believe was this ladies repeater when I was there in 2019 on a desk. I was hoping it was for a men's Calatrava. (:
