why can't we ever get these great pieces in the US?
My AD gets everything 1 year after all the gray market guys and internet resellers have it in stock and he gets nothing unique even when it's ordered. Why is that? Also how can a guy like (dealer ref. edited) , and other internet dealers, who are not an AD get a 5712 or 5101P when my AD has to wait forever to get one? Can anyone shed light on how these shady transactions occur? Why does patek let it happen and moreover why do the AD's let it occur?

My understanding was that it was only available through the geneva boutique and has long sold out.....
I called the Geneva Boutique about it a couple of weeks ago
and the lady I spoke to asked me to send her my contact details as she said that "the management" had not yet decided how to allocate the watches.

When did you get yours? I am curious because after I sent them an e-mail enquiring about the status, I got an e-mail from them 3 days ago saying that the 5105s had not yet been "attributed" (sic).
