You will get scratches - if you wear any watch you will get scratches. Mine has got a large gouge in the bezel that was inflicted by me when putting a bag in the overhead storage bin on a flight. Who cares? I don't pamper my watches as they're meant to be worn, particularly a practical watch like the 5167.
Mine has also been back once to PP to have a clutch adjusted that prevented the watch from being fully wound up: no big deal and PP where very efficient in getting it sorted.
The 5167 is a really great watch to own - it's a dress watch, it's a sport watch, it's a slobbing around with jeans watch. Just buy it and start enjoying it!

Yes and yes. Definite scratch magnet. AND, I have had my 5167 in for service twice due to the date not changing correctly. Hard to excuse on what is supposed to be one of the finely made movements around...very poor... On the bright side..love how the wat...

I love my 5167, so much so I bought his new brother the 5164. Love the dial, how it changes color in certain light, love the size as well. Very comfy and light with a pretty good presence. deployant is very good also. scratch magnet? maybe, but not as bad...
