You are lucky if only 3 months...
My 3940 went for regular service to Patek in September 12, 2012 not back yet. That is 5+ months and counting. In addition, I will be paying a hefty sum for the privilege of waiting so long. Frankly I am more upset than excited that some day I will see my watch again. Hope you will have better luck. Jim
Sad, but it happens

The good news is that if your watch is serviced by Patek, it comes back in new-like condition. After that it should run well for 5 years before the next service is needed. Be patient - it's always worth waiting something good. Best, Kari
