The 5231J is very beautifully executed ... and I have no regrets getting it even though I already have the 5131J. To me, the "51" is more ornate. The script and case are more curvy. When on the wrist it feels slimmer. The "52", on the other hand, is more plain … business-like almost. It also feels chunkier ... even though it's probably not appreciably thicker than its older brother? Two very different flavors!

As an owner of 5131s I have been very interested in the dial variations within each of the Js, Gs and Rs.
Your comment about the date of manufacture is very interesting. Of all the Js (many) I have seen in person or images, I have never seen a dial as colorful and detailed in its use of colors as yours. Enjoy both Js. Each one is exceptionally beautiful!
