I agree with you. For me, it's very important that a watch has a "lively" dial (like 5235G or the sunburst dial of 5170P or fading colors like the Nautis). The dial of 5524G looks pretty "dead", and the two huge pushers on the left side of the case don't add to a beautiful look either.
No 5524G post for quite some time.

I love the 5524 from the few times I’ve tried it on.
But if it’s not for you, better to let it go so someone else can enjoy it, and you can find another watch you love.
If it doesnt sing to your heart anymore , yes you might as well sell.
And go buy a timepiece that does sing. Or wait for one that does. Perhaps channel it to another hobby. No regrets. And thanks for the memory kind of attitude. Best wishes Volker. Geross.
