Entering the 111 into Palm Springs:
- some 40C on the ground
- looking at snow covered mountains
- humidity close to zero (desert!)
- freight trains with two layered ship containers, the trains being litterally "miles long"
- and ca. 650 wind mills generating all the electricity into the Coachella Valley
All weird. Almost outer space. And I love it.

Nice pictures! This is more typical of the olden days around here in Southern California Before those big turbines began to make a real contribution to our electrical grid I prefer the desert, but this is an occasional pleasant alternative while traveling...
I remember reading that most of the energy from those windmills....
is exported to Nevada!!........
