I think you will find the form factor, versatility, adaptability, picture quality, and overall camera control of the TL2 much better than the D Lux series, although I have not tested the the 7. For me, the combination of iPhone X and TL2 with interchangeable lenses is perfect.

The dedicated lenses are excellent and you can use SL lenses without an adapter. You’ve made a wonderful choice. Have fun!

So, I took the picture of my Leica with my iPhone X in portrait mode.
The macros were taken with my Leica TL2 and 60mm macro lens. Prior to that I was using a Leica D-lux 6. If I can do it, surely you will have no issues. Your watch pics are spectacular. The TL2 has a more iPhone interface quality than a traditional camera....
