My understanding (not confirmed)
is that H Series lenses might work on the X1D with an adapter (???).
For me, editing photos (i.e. ranking or selecting which photos to process and which photos to file) tends to be an emotional activity... in the end to define and hone one's personal preferences... a moving target with all kinds of influences ; )

The more I think that the XD1 has your name on it... for some reason it just seems to be a good fit... Most likely it would mean different/adjusted image processing. For me it's how the WB and metering are managed... the flash sync might make that process...
I have handled the 645z and am a big Pentax fan...
But the new mirrorless Hasselblad XD1 is a different ballgame... can't wait to get my hands on it.

Loved it too but mostly because it was the only practical digital MF body out there. For me form factor important.
I currently have the Mamiya RB67
it's film, and I don't shoot that much 120 format (the RB67 is 6x7), but I enjoy the slower pace.

Consider the Pentax 645z
On paper the 645z has the "same" sensor as the X1D for USD 6,997 (USD 2,000 less for the body)... worth a look. Note: all prices listed by me are list price at a major New York camera shop and is shown only as a comparison.
