The more I think about it Thomas...
The more I think that the XD1 has your name on it... for some reason it just seems to be a good fit... Most likely it would mean different/adjusted image processing. For me it's how the WB and metering are managed... the flash sync might make that process more approachable for some. I understand but have not confirmed that the XD1 uses the Nikon hot shoe configuration... in any case off-camera flash is a 'snap' these days...
I do have a soft spot for things Swedish ; )
