The fierce ocean off our local beach has finally destroyed the Ocean Beach pier. Due to the lack of sand under the pier, there are few opportunities to take the kind of photos Filip has demonstrated so nicely. I too have been captivated by piers, but more as figures in action photos... thanks Filip for the inspiration to dig these out.

I believe it was used mostly for the last decade 90% by fishermen, and wandering tourists and street folks. Yellow is the original straight-ish pier. The city wants to " upgrade the pier experience " and provide for socializing moments and family exciteme...
