Yes, it was quiet terrible, my company hosted a french NGO in our building facilities for month for free.
We stopped our activities and spent our time, energy and Personal money to help in the aftermath.. We were based in Cebu, and did many humanitarian missions in small island near cebu, such as malapascua and bantayan, giving food, meds, water and some basic construction materials and tools. So many poeple were left with nothing. Terrible times! But good things also comes.. it is during these very difficult times that my daughter met her husband.

Great photos! Typhoon Hayian or Yolanda as we called it locally in the Phils was devastating, I remember for living it, and being part of the first responder, just a day after it striked.
This sailboat could be from the more rescent Typhoon Odette that was also extremely violent in the visayas.

Thanks for the info. I was at the back end of things providing logistical support for one of the companies here. Devastating for sure. According to one army general that I had to coordinate with for transport, the reported death toll was quite understated...
