Having been attracted by Piaget’s Altiplano Double Jeu and motivated to write a review of the watch, I wanted to continue my exploration of Piaget’s timepieces by looking at the very compelling luxury sport watches in the Polo FortyFive collection. Piaget...

...that should be considered by anyone who collects luxury sport timepieces. The Piaget Polo is definitely an iconic design, and the FortyFive updates the segment for today's tastes in case size and sporty materials (titanium). I've tried the watch on my ... 

I much prefer the classic dial models, either black or silver, over the open dial FortyFive's. For the open dial look I would incline toward a Vacheron Constantin Quai de l'Ile, which I'm sure is no surprise to anyone. Bill

and your fantastic photographs. Unlike you I never felt cool towards the FortyFive, thinking it a pretty hot watch right from my first impression. like a VC collector who might have both a Patrimony and an Overseas, I can see a Piaget collector wanting bo... 

I have been pursuing this watch for quite some time and I may be within reach of it soon. However, upon reading the reviews here I have a question. What is an open dial? Does this Piaget have it? And, what is the opposite of an open dial? and which watch ... 

when I speak of the open dial I am referring to the fact that one limited edition model for each of the automatic and the chronograph have a dial made from a sapphire disk. Here is a stock photo: These are priced at a $2K premium to the solid dial equival...  

Great Article Bill, I have to say that this watch is understated, elegant, extremely versitile, and is not as antiquated as the gold predicesors of the 1980's.Whether with complication or without, this curved style case and xtal, titanium case, and unders...
