I've been given the opportunity to test drive the new Piaget Polo FortyFive Flyback Chronograph GMT and have been wearing it 24 hours a day on my wrist for around 2 weeks. My first impression of the watch was one of apathy when I first saw the watch in pe...  

Is the buckle also comfortable as the last picture looks like it is quite big and not really integrated into the strap? Regards, Gerard

It's integrated into the strap pretty well, and I'll take another more profile shots of the deployant while on the wrist later today. Cheers, Anthony

Sorry it took me a couple days longer than I promised! As you can see in the below pictures, the deployant clasp is fully integrated into the strap and isn't bulky at all. In LCDW's post below, she inquires about redness on the wrist where deployant buckl...

How about the buckle? Does it press on your skin and leave some red markings around the wrist? Yes it is a perfect fit as it is cut to exact wrist size and boy oh boy it feels as nice as it looks good on the wrist.... the fitting is a real good one. The w... 

No issues whatsoever. If it presses against your skin or leaves red markings around the wrist, my guess would be: a) you're strapping on the watch a tad too tight or too loose b) you don't have the buckle centered in the middle of your wrist Cheers, Antho... 

Points taken. So far the buckle is in the center of the wrist. Might be a tiny bit loose. But still it gives deep red marking on where the buckle is..sigh.. Does it really have to be exact fit? As I do have some pieces which sit comfortably with such type... 

by one notch tighter on one side of the deployant, and see if that helps. I've taken the watch off now to examine the buckle more, but I'm not really sure what else could be causing the red marking on both of your wrists. I don't have the slightest markin... 

Yes, have done that. Anyway, you are right on the dot. It is the rather sharp edges of the buckle that pinched our skin. We also could not figure out what else to do so after taking turn wearing it for 2 weeks, it is now with Piaget and we would just wait... 

The edges of the deployant are slightly more sharp than other deployants I have so hopefully they can round out the edges for you. I don't know if rounding out the edges will solve your redness problem though since the deployant release button is the part... 

Hi Anthony, Some news came in today from Piaget side. There seems to be nothing in particular to cause the rather sharp feeling due to the edges. I do think there is not much can done about it but Piaget is helpful indeed as they gonna try to smoothen the...

.........but, like you, had a lukewarm reaction when I finally saw it live at an AD two weekends ago, where they had both the Silver and Black dialed models. I really look forward to seeing this watch again for closer examination, and hopefully, appreciat...  

Nad, Hang onto that one. We may need to do a 'Piaget -- the Revival' article and your watch may be the 'end of the end' or 're-start of the beginning', if you get what I mean. Regards, MTF
