Thank you for the response. I have seen the Ti in person. Love it. Have not seen the carbon, and don't see it available at any dealers within several hundred miles of SF. Hoping to get some input from someone who has seen them both live.
Re value retention, yes that is always subject to some speculation. But if anyone has any thoughts on the matter I would be please to heat them.

Ok I was not aware of that policy. Please disregard any questions I raised about price or value retention.
Titanium is a much harder material and matte titanium doesn't show scratches easily.
Compared to white gold and even steel, titanium is a much harder alloy to scratch. Grade 5 titanium technically can be polished - but is mostly left in a brushed finish and matte finish on RM watches. The Titanium variants definitely show very few scratch...
