A difficult exercize!
With modern style brands, it is important to try to build a "classic" DNA that will not make the watches out of fashion. usually the more it is original, different from what we are used to seeing, the easier it fades away.
I think that RM is on the right path as their design is still working and beginning to be less subject to "ageing".
In that context, it is quite difficult to bring something new as it can in the eman time impact the previous pieces.
This being said, they brought some very distinctive cases, without jeopardizing the original tonneau shape: the square (RM016, RM017), the thin round case (RM033) and the RM063 (round with a lightly curved bezel), the tonneau thinner versions (RM27-1 and RM067) and of course the divers....
So, I totally follow you and will always like to be surprised and find something new, not only for RM but for nearly nay brands but the problem is that it may not be for the best...
The Tonneau shape is something that people especially like from RM, they want this precisely and the brand will not go against that.
Now, if they bring new at the next SiHH while preserving the rest, it would be perfect of course
Cheers, Mark
