Actually, the weight of the watch and the price in terms of gold
was my sound-bite! Perhaps Richard should have used it (
), but I found out the fact when researching the use of the orthorhombic titanium and the carbon nano fibre in the B-2 bomber. There is a fact(oid) on the aeronautic enthusiast pages that states that the bomber would cost less if made of solid gold! Seemed an appropriate cross-over.
Let me see what I can find out about the RM035 case. I know over time there have been a number of different materials considered and used. Not sure what exactly the RM035 ended up with and why (the more important question).
