Aesthetically, Richard Mille is not my absolute favourite brand, but I cannot argue ...
that this brand is following a very clear technology, materials and design path. In doing so, RM does not stop short before seemingly immense hurdles* are tackled. This earns them my unconditional respect.
Moreover, together with De Bethune I would count RM to the exclusive (and small) number of independent brands which really advance watchmaking in the spirit of A.L. Breguet. I wish a greater fraction of the (corporate) industry would follow their lead (as this would ensure that future generations of watch collectors will have their 'classic' watches to collect).
Thank you very much Mark, for taking the time to elucidate the remarkable intricacies of watchmaking à la RM!
Best,
Magnus

*) there are considerable hurdles on the side of the buyer, as well ;-)
