Richard Mille

I've had it for four years now.

Mine is a RM004-V1. One of probably only less than a handful made. There was a problem with the split seconds mechanism and had to be sent back for adjustment. It's now working flawlessly. There were some design changes of the RM004 from V1 to V2 to make it more reliable and robust, but I'm going to keep mine as original as possible.
The classic rattrapante mechanism is THE most difficult complication to make and adjust, much more than a tourbillon. Most watchmakers will agree with this. An good example would be the Patek Ref. 5004. There are at least 3 different iterations of the rattrapante mechanism and it took many years for them to perfect it. There are still some PP 5004s in collectors hands that have older versions of the mechanism and I think the earliest one looks the best but I've heard it has some problems.
So there you go. The rattrapante is like a thoroughbred. It has its tempers but it's the most beautiful and best complication there is.
