Richard Mille

Richard Mille, perhaps more than any watch brand, has One Encompassing Vision

Andrew,

Thank you for this in-depth and personal glimpse behind the scenes at Lotus Cars from Richard Mille Watches.

Thank you, Mr Mille !

I always knew about Richard Mille's personal passion for motor racing and vaguely some aspects applied to his watches BUT I did not realise how deep his vision went.
Those watches are designed "from the wheels up" like Lotus Cars. The engineering that goes into both products is amazing and ostensibly to a layman, seemingly overkill.

Growing up in the '60s and '70s, Lotus was indelibly etched in my mind as the racing brand.  Sure, we all heard of the red car giant from Italy and some silver or blue and white brands from Germany but Lotus was the little Briton who dared. With half the engine and the wrong way around, the little firecrackers danced around the behemoths to WIN.
Of course, when we did not have this silly ban on advertising, the distinctive John Player Special Black livery was synonymous with Lotus.
Even today, the black is evocative. I'm a little hazy about recent history with TWO teams called Lotus Cars so I'm hoping this one is THE one from my childhood.

Certainly, the financial troubles and lawsuits that dogged the Lotus Cars that Jacky Ickx mentioned is still prominent today.
