When it comes to reliability , I don't think you can get better than a Rolex.
They will take anything that you can dish out.
Believe me I have done some pretty rugged stuff with a Rolex over many many years.

Are RM watches as accurate and relable as a Rolex? Also, I like the styling, but it now
seems a bit dated. A few years ago, the recessed sides looked unusual and edgy, but maybe not so much today. Can anyone give me some insight into what they find so appealing about the styling of these watches? Thanks.
well, there VERY VERY comfortable on the wrist

OK, the cases are beautiful. But Donze Baum makes them. The movements are lovely, but
Vaucher makes those. A third party makes the straps. I'm struggling to see what's uniquely RM here.
Don't struggle too hard...
and just stick with Pateks if thats what you like. It's all about choice. The fact that watch manufacturers outsource cases, movements, and straps is really not a big deal in the big scheme of things.
