I recently bought a Rolex 5512 with case back stamped IV1962. The dial on the watch is all gilt with black gloss. I agree with many of the comment about gilt dials they are beautiful. The thing about this dial is that it is has no minute ring, it has gilt...

As I said I have done some research on these dials. I found 4 other watches with the same dial. I found 3 on another forum s/n's 870545, 818620 and 818320. I found another on a commercial site. All these watches were produce in the 3rd or 4th quarter 1962... 

the dial you have on the watch is not the pristine one .. the problem is not just the presence of the printing " T < 25 " , but the lack of the minute ring with this printing. with a case in the 870.000 range ( very early 1963 ) I expect to have these ... 

When you originally posted the scans, it troubled me that I could not match the combinations of your watch. Indeed, I am still having trouble finding any accurate comparisons that make sense matching the case back, serial number and dial style. I would th... 

improved pic of the dial you can easily see that hands have a luminous material with a pretty different shade ... moreover indexes have a " balloon " look that is typical of later dials ... ...
