'56 Perpetual
Can anybody help. I have a 1956 oyster perpetual with steel band and I am trying to track down an original box for this watch. I had the misfortune to be sold a fake, but the problem is that I have no idea what type of box would have been used. I would be more than greatful if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I saw something very similar, in terms of complete GMTs.

It depends on the market where the watch was sold
but in most cases it would look like that......

In most cases...
these pictures show "reconstructed sets" and the box is not the "original" one. The last one is a service box. I would expect a rectangular box with either flat or faceted top.
Do you have a picture of these boxes?
I did a long search to fall on contradictory answers... To believe that no one got a full set 6542. Best, Nicolas.
They are the two models on my previous pictures
but it's complicated to be sure a box is "correct", as there is no official Rolex documentation (like on bracelets for instance).
